The World Health organization has declared a pandemic. You are booking knowing you are traveling during this time.
Our cancellation policy is not changing during the pandemic unless the governor of Maine declares a specific order on refunds.
See our cancellation policy below.
If it possible for us to rent out your stay to another party then we will refund your money minus a $200 processing fee.
If you decide to change your booking to another cottage or week within 10 days of making your original booking you can do so, however you will be charged a $50 processing fee. After this point we will view it as a cancellation.
Yes. All places require a $200 cash deposit (except for the Pavillion and Carriage house which is $300) that is taken on arrival in case of damages, and/or if the place is not returned to its original clean condition.
We expect that the house be broom swept, dishes put away clean and dry, not left in the dishwasher. That all furniture be brought back to their original places. Trash and recycling should be put in the outside bins, we will take care of sanitizing the house. No smoking. No fireworks. No cooking lobster inside the house. We provide lobster burners for outside use only.
The deposit will be returned within a week of departure.
No
No there is not. More likely than not someone will be on the property to greet you, give you a tour of Anna’s and answer any questions.
Check-in is at 4 P.M. onwards and check-out is at 10 A.M.
If you would like to check in earlier call us that day, we may be able to accommodate your request. Also If you’re planning on checking out earlier, please let us know so that we can get a head start on the cleaning.
We do no late check outs, as we need this time to make everything sparkle for our next guests.
Yes, we observe quiet hours from 9 P.M. to 9 A.M. so everyone can relax and appreciate the property peacefully. Please be respectful of other guests by keeping the noise down during this time. There is a noise ordinance on the island so it is important to abide by this.
Yes, we expect the houses to be in the same condition you found them in; the floors need to be broom swept, and all used towels and linen separated in the provided canvas laundry bag and brought to the Hospitality Suite. Trash and recycling should be put in the outside bins, and dishes should be put away clean, not left in the dishwasher. We will take care of sanitizing the house.
No, smoking is not permitted on the property.
We provide lobster burners for outside use only. We do not allow lobster to be cooked inside due to smell.
The Carriage house, Lookout, Rose, Veranda, Treehouse, Wayfarer, Birdhouse, Cranberry, Hideaway, Bluehouse, Pavillion and Artist Studio are heated.
(There is also a wood burning stove in the Wayfarer, Birdhouse and Bluehouse. We do provide fresh seasoned hardwood.)

The Park is actually two thirds of the Island, so there are many entrances, not just one. However Anna’s Quietside is less than 5 minutes from Acadia National Park. Visit our Acadia National Park page for more info!
In fact Flying Mountain is just a 4 minute drive away!
We are about a 25 minute drive from Bar Harbor.
The town of Southwest Harbor has three public town docks with parking and they are five minutes away by car.
The Island Explorer is a fantastic way to see the Island. The clean propane-powered vehicles offer transportation to hiking trails, carriage roads, island beaches, and in-town shops and restaurants.
Here’s a tip that locals know: the park loop road is mostly one way, and the right lane can be used at any point for parking.
Unfortunately, no we do not have any mail delivery to the property. You may be able to have mail delivered to Care of First Express, 61 Cottage Street, Bar Harbor, ME 04609. I recommend calling them at (207) 288-5885 before you schedule a delivery there to check if they will accept it.
You will need to bring your usual toiletries (shampoo, soap etc), trash bags, toilet paper, paper towels, coffee filters, beach towels, high efficiency HE detergent, dish soap, and sponges.
No.
The Artist Studio, Wayfarer, Birdhouse, Bluehouse, Carriage, Lookout, Rose, Veranda and Pavillion all have at least 1 wall mounted hair dryer. If you are staying in the Treehouse, Cranberry and Hideaway please request hair dryers if you need them.

Yes there are. If we are not using the washer/dryer, then it is available for guests. You will need to bring high efficiency HE detergent to use, our washer does not like normal detergent. We ask for $3.50 to wash, and $3.50 to dry, please put this in the vase. If ours is not available there is a laundromat at the end of Forest Ave called Village Wash Tub.
The Food Mart is closest and is located on Route 102.
Sawyers is in town and stocks a small but delicious selection of fine foods and freshly prepared soup etc.
Hannafords Supermarket has the largest selection and is located off Route 3 in Bar Harbor on Cottage street.
Hannafords and Shaws in located in Ellsworth and would be a great economical place to pick up the bulk of your needs before getting onto the Island.
