Enter the state at Portsmouth, NH traveling north on I-95. South of Portland, take Exit 44 to merge onto I-295 (Portland/Portland Downtown). I-295 merges back onto I-95 south of Gardiner.

Continue on I-95 to Bangor. South of Bangor take Exit 182-A onto 395-E. Take Exit 6A onto US-1A(Coastal Route/Ellsworth/Bar Harbor). US-1A becomes Rt. 3. Stay on Rt. 3 through Ellsworth and Trenton.

There is a traffic light at the northern end of Mt. Desert Island. Route 3 bears left into Bar Harbor. Stay straight and travel south on Rt. 102 into Southwest Harbor.

In Southwest Harbor, pass the Dead River Gas station on the right, and just before the town center look for a right hand turn onto Forest Avenue. Turn right onto Forest Avenue and drive to the end of the road.

You will see a blue sign directly ahead; 'Anna's Quietside Cottages.' There is a street sign that says 'Anna's Quietside Lane.' Continue straight onto gravel road through a wooden fence (do not turn right into Beech Cliff Apartments). Go straight up the hill passing a pond on the left and the Minka trailer on the right. The Pavillion will be just past the Minka on the right hand side.

At the top of the hill you will see the Carriage House and Lookout/Rose Cottage building on the right hand side. On the left hand side you will see the Building with the Hospitality Suite, Veranda, and Butterfly Cottage.

By car from Bangor International Airport:

Take Godfrey Ave. and turn right onto Maine Ave. Maine Ave. becomes US-2/ME-100/Odlin Rd. Turn left onto I-395 E. and follow directions above.

In Southwest Harbor, pass the Town Center continue driving straight. You will see water close to the road on the left hand side. Make a left onto Seawall Road (Route 102A). The Hyewood House is exactly 1.0 miles from this intersection on the right hand side. It is just past the Manset Union Church, which is a white church on the right hand side as well.
